Skrill and Neteller clients will soon be able to use Skrill Prepaid Mastercard or NETELLER Net+ Prepaid Mastercard with Apple Pay and Google Pay
Skrill and Mastercard have extended their already successful partnership. This is excellent news for all clients in the European Economic Area (EEA), that are already familiar with, Skrill Prepaid Mastercard® and NETELLER Net+ Prepaid Mastercard®.
Paysafe has been partnering with Mastercard since 2013. Their long-standing relationship is now to evolve to a higher level. With the new agreement, Mastercard will support Paysafe to expand Skrill and Neteller services.
Skrill and Neteller customers are already entitled to a Skrill or Neteller Prepaid Mastercard. Neteller and Skrill account holders can request a prepaid Mastercard within their account and receive it within 7-10 days. With a prepaid Mastercard, they can spend their Skrill balance or Neteller balance around the world, wherever Mastercard is accepted.

The new partnership will focus on innovation in terms of reaching more merchants with Skrill and Neteller. The Paysafe announced they would focus on enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay for their customers.

According to Scott Abrahams, Senior Vice President, Business Development and Fintech at Mastercard in the UK, this is the new phase of relationship with Paysafe, in which Mastercard will support Paysafe’s ambitions to “leverage prepaid and e-commerce acceptance across Europe as they grow.”
The new agreement between Skrill and Neteller will facilitate the expansion of Skrill and Neteller as payment methods in Europe. Mastercard is a widely accepted payment method in 210 countries and territories, thus enabling Skrill and Neteller account holders to spend their funds locally and to withdraw their money from an extensive network of ATMs.
Apple Pay and Google Pay will add another layer of safety and privacy to your purchases. In essence, your Skrill and Neteller prepaid card numbers will not be shared with merchants, and when you pay with a prepaid card, Apple Pay, for example, does not store the transaction information.
